$21,922 raised in Shaunavon

Town of Shaunavon hockey fans filled the arena on Saturday night to watch the Oval X-Treme play the U.S. Selects in the final game of this 4 game series. It was a close game with the U.S. Selects winning by a score of 3 to 2. The Oval X-Treme took home the cup winning the series, 3- games to 1. With the ticket, merchandise, program and 50/50 sales and EnCana’s matched funds, the community raised $21,922 for the two recipient organizations – Shaunavon Minor Hockey and The Wickenheiser Centre. Each organization was presented with a cheque for $ $10,961. $100, 641 was raised in total during the tournament. Click here for game summary.

Town of Stettler hockey fans came out in droves on Friday night to watch the Oval X-Treme play the U.S. Selects in a high-energy game 3 of this 4 game series. It was a close game with the Oval winning by a score of 3 to 2. With the ticket, merchandise, program and 50/50 sales and EnCana’s matched funds, the community raised $15,710 for the two recipient organizations – Stettler and District Minor Hockey and the Heartland Youth Centre. Wabasca City residents packed the arena on Wednesday night to watch the Oval X-Treme defeat the U.S. Selects by a score of 3 to 2 in Game 2 of this 4 game series. With the ticket, merchandise, program and 50/50 sales and EnCana’s matched funds, the community raised $21,132 for the two recipient organizations – Wabasca Minor Hockey and the Wabasca Healthcare Centre. The City of Dawson Creek residents came out in droves on Monday night to watch the Oval X-Treme win Game 1 of this 4 game series by a score of 3 to 1. Almost 2,000 were in attendance. With the ticket, merchandise, program and 50/50 sales and EnCana’s matched funds, the community raised $43,841 for the two recipient organizations – Dawson Creek Minor Hockey and Dawson Creek Ark Youth Society.
